What Does IG Drones Make?
IG Drones specializes in manufacturing advanced drone systems designed for a variety of applications. The company produces several types of drones, each tailored to meet specific operational needs:

- Vertical Take-Off and Landing (VTOL) Drones: These drones are engineered for environments where conventional runways are unavailable, such as mountainous regions and urban conflict zones. VTOL drones can take off and land vertically
- First-Person View (FPV) Drones: FPV drones provide real-time, first-person visuals, enabling precise reconnaissance and intelligence gathering. They are particularly valuable in military operations, allowing operators to assess threats and terrain without risking personnel.
- Jaga – India’s First 5 G-Enabled Drone: Jaga is a groundbreaking innovation by IG Drones, leveraging 5G technology for enhanced connectivity and data transmission. This drone is used for applications requiring high-speed, real-time data, such as surveillance and infrastructure monitoring.
- Military-Grade Simulators: In addition to drones, IG Drones develops simulators for training military personnel in drone operations. These simulators provide a safe and controlled environment to master drone navigation and tactical strategies.

These products are used across defense, infrastructure monitoring, disaster management, and agriculture, making IG Drones a versatile contributor to India’s technological ecosystem.
Who is the owner of IG Drones?

Mr. Bodhisattwa Sanghapriya, a visionary entrepreneur from Odisha, founded IG Drones. As the Founder and CEO, Mr. Sanghapriya has been instrumental in transforming the company from a college project into a leading drone technology provider. His leadership has driven IG Drones to secure major contracts, including with the Indian Army. How are IG Drones Strengthening National Defense?

The Indian Army has awarded a major contract to IG Drones for the supply of indigenously developed VTOL and FPV drones, marking a significant milestone in India’s drive for self-reliance in defense manufacturing under the Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat initiatives. This development comes amid rising security threats along international borders, such as the hijacking of an Indian Army drone near the Pakistan border. IG Drones’ platforms are free from Chinese-origin components, addressing these security concerns.
The VTOL drones enable vertical take-offs and landings, making them ideal for mountainous regions, while FPV drones deliver real-time visuals for tactical reconnaissance. Major General RC Padhi, Senior Vice President (R&D) at IG Drones, noted, “These indigenously developed drones are tailored for high-altitude and tactical operations. They will enhance surveillance, intelligence, and border security.”
